  • Luminosity in Art talks
    I use lots of beautiful images to show how artists have created such luminous effects. The two images below are Monet's Impression, Sunrise, showing how the warm and cool colours of the same tonal value create the visual vibrations that the painting is famous for.








     

  • How to make your Work more Luminous Workshops
    A workshop looking at some ways to make your work shine with that elusive glow of luminosity. This session is tailored to your media - oils, acrylics, watercolour, coloured pencil.

Getting to grips with negative painting can really mess with your head, but its a lot of fun. You can use this approach as a technique in its own right, as in many of my works, or as a handy skill for painting sky holes in trees, for example.  Workshops on negative painting are best suited to groups with some experience of painting; alternatively, 1-2-1 tuition is a great way to explore the possibilities.
